RAINTREE SERVICES

    Our Forest Management Division was formed in 1980 for the purpose of assisting landowners to better utilize their rural lands.

We offer the following Services:

                Management Plans  These plans are specific to your site.  They include mapping the site and soil determinations to evaluate the best use for individual sections and then the site overall.  Any timber on the site is cruised to determine amount and current value and is included in the maps and plans.

                Timber Sales   Timber Sales are arranged for the owner upon request. You don't have to have one of our Plans for us to be of help in selling your timber.   All timber to be sold is cruised before sale and the sold timber is checked after cutting to verify the amounts coincide with the cruise.

                Chemical Site Preparation   Timber or bare land that is overrun with weeds, sedge, Kudzu etc. can be helped by using specific chemicals sprayed on site with our specialized equipment with great accuracy and benefits.

                Pine Stand Releases   Where deemed necessary, We have the equipment or contractor contacts to thin stands, harvest pulpwood and other options to secure the continued growth of your pines to the ultimate harvest plan.

                Prescribed Burning    When conditions permit and the stand of timber is in need of burning, we can do it.  Prescribed burning is becoming the most economical way to remove problems in pine stands.  Pines are particularly unique in that they can take repeated burns of the correct intensity without harm!

                Planting Services     We have under contract both hand and machine planters for pine seedling.  These contractors are hand picked and supervised by us.

                Wildlife Food Plots    Inspect the subject area for compatibility for this use.  We will plan, layout, match the correct food to your wildlife needs, and plant if requested.

These services are performed by or overseen by myself.  I am a registered Forester in Georgia (#1192) and am a member of the Florida Forestry Association (Florida does not have a Registry).  I am also a member of the Society of American Foresters.
